Delete AVG user files

Hello Gary,

We request you to run AVG remover followed by Clear tool as mentioned (here) to remove AVG traces.
If AVG folders are still present, boot your PC into safe mode as mentioned (here) and try to delete the files manually.
Keep us informed about the status.

I've deleted a user profile from my Windows 10 Pro system however I cannot delete AVG files in these folders …
C:\Users<USER_NAME>\AppData\Roaming\AVG
C:\Users<USER_NAME>\AppData\Local\AVG

My account is a member of the Administrators group which has full control of the files.  The deleted user is the current owner and I my account cannot take ownership of the files.

How do I delete these files?
