As a professional in IS, my machine is for testing and analysis; AND normal day-to-day functions.
I MUST USE EXCEPTIONS in several areas of AVG INTERNET SECURITY.
I, too, "received" an unrequested and un-approved version update (like so many others).
In the process ALL EXCEPTIONS in ALL AREAS OF THE AVG PROGRAM were cleared.
It took me a very long time, much troubleshooting, and constant babysitting, to get them just right. I had finally set things so AVG functioned and did not interfere with my day-to-day work.
Now. lo and behold, I find that this was dumped upon me, by the newly combined AVAST and AVG companies. Maybe the resulting product will be better. I don't know.
As a rule I wait until the newly formed companies get their combined "stuff" together and work out the "wrinkles" in their apps.
What is the "official" Support team going to do to help us out?
