Hi Kathryn.
It is generally not recommended to use more than one security solution on a single system. They will compete for resources, which may result in slowdowns, crashes or in no protection at all.
So we recommend that you uninstall both McAfee apps from your PC. Regarding the dell files, what files are they exactly?
Where are they saved on your PC?
I use McAfee and it is expiring tomorrow. I am installing AVG and came to a screen that says it is in Passive Mode, ON (but a temporary default). When I try to turn Passive Mode to OFF, it says I have multiple antivirus apps installed and suggests I uninstall McAfee, but when I use the link to start that, it takes me to 2 Dell files. There are also 2 McAfee apps/files in the Uninstall Apps, McAfeeLiveSafe and McAfeeWebAdvisor, but AVG doesn't take to those files to uninstall them.
My questions are:
1. Should I uninstall the Dell apps? I am nervous about that because they look like they are related to support updates
2. Should I uninstall the 2 McAfee apps?
3. What happens if I leave McAfee to expire? Will there be any conflicts with AVG?
4.
