Delete: permanently removes the file from your computer.
- If you selected Restore to…, select a location to move the file to, then click Open.
- If prompted, use your Touch ID or enter your administrator password to grant permission for the action.

How do I delete from my Mac El Capitan computer the threats that AVG has quarantined?

Thank you for responding.
The AVG program is up to date and receives regular virus updates.
At the moment and possibly through most of tomorrow, I'm running a deep scan.
I closed the scan results of the earlier scan but was able to confirm that one of the files was no longer in the position the path indicated.
I don't know how the files are quarantined and I don't want them saved anywhere on my computer.
I just don't know where to look for quarantined files nor how to remove them permanently from my machine.
Do you know?
