Please delete the AVG files(folders) from your Windows, Program X86, Program data folder.
Restart your computer after deleting the AVG folder.
If you are unable to delete any folder, please restart the computer in safe mode and try to delete the files.

I decided to delete my AVG program. However one file refuses to delete
it is displayed on my Windows Programs and Features page as below :-
Name Publisher Installed on Size Version
AVG Web Tuneup AVG Technologies 23.5.2018 4.3.9.605
There is no size indicated and it just will not delete. Having seen that this was a common problem, i used the AVG clean tool (to no effect) and then i used the Remover Tool. I followed all the instructions and afterwards i deleted the remover tool from both downloads and the C drive but still the above file refuses to go. The remover tool did see and highlight the file and i ticked the box and it said it was removing it, but it doesn't. I presume that is because the file has no size indicated
I am now being advised that my Windows updates are not updating because of the fact that AVG files are not compatible and are on my drive but as i can't delete them i can't get windows updates!
I'm no expert, so any response in plain English would be welcome Thanks
ps i used the remover tool three times as it indicated it might take a few restarts to clear the files

Could you try to boot your PC in safe mode and then try to uninstall the application?

Ok did as you said,and pretty sure i removed the files and also cleaned the trash bin (just in case) but program still there !!
Now when i ask windows to delete/uninstall it, it says it can't find the file ?
Do keep in mind that whilst i use computers, fiddling around in the files system is not my strong point, what seems straight forward to you isn't for me !
