I recently downloaded AVG VPN to try and signed up for the demo. It asked me to provide my credit card details, I eventually found another VPN so I deleted the software. Today I received an email telling me I have been charged $104 for a 1 year subscription for the VPN. Is there any hope for getting my $104 back? I will not be able to use the subscription because as it doesn't work very well where I am.
I hope this can be rectified, I really like AVG but would like to trust AVG with not charging me $100 if I just want to try a product.
Hello Robert,
You have subscribed to trial version twice where you cancelled only one order and you got charged for the automatic renewal of another AVG Secure VPN Multi-device (60-day Trial) because you agreed to automatic extension of your subscription when you originally signed up for the trial subscription. We can assure you that we have not processed any unauthorized payments from your card or account.
We sent an email notification 10 days prior to the order being placed to let you know in advance that this payment was due. This also contained information on how to cancel your Subscription.
We have initiated refund for this product and money will be credited to your account soon. Generally, it should not take more than 7 business days.
