Desktop Icons Gone

We're glad to look into this & help you.
The possibility for this to happen might be the optimization made by AVG TuneUp. It allows us to revert the changes made.
To do so : Open AVG TuneUp - Refresh icon (at right pane) - Rescue Center - Click on undo beside desired changes - Restart your computer once & let us know if it helps.

I installed AVG TuneUp, Secure Browser, Internet Security and Drive Updater and ran the recommended updates and changes.  Now half of my desktop icons are gone.  Is there a way to get them back?
