DHL Email Trojan

Hello Oscar,

We would like to inform you that the threats found on AVG deep scan will usually get resolved after a PC restart.
This is the expected behavior.
Once you restart the PC and initiate the deep scan, you will not find the same threat in the result.
If yes, you can confirm that AVG has resolved it successfully.
If the same threat appears again after a restart, then we have to take investigate further.
Thank you.

Balasubramanian,

Un fortunately, that is not the case.

As I mentioned, "the following day" AVG found the threat in another folder.

I failed to mention that I had turned off the PC in between.

Today, after turning the PC back on and runnig the Deep Scan, the threat shows in another folder.

Apparently, AVG does not resove the problem as expected.

That is why I contacted you for help.

Take care,

My wife usually receives emails from DHL as per of her job.

Last week, she opened an email supposedly sent from DHL and AVG reported that the attachment contained a Trojan virus.

Clicking RESOLVE produced no results.

After running Deep PC Scan, AVG identified a Trojan virus in the \Downloads folder, which I could see with Windows Explorer.

When I tried to right-click on the file, it disappeared.

After running  Deep PC Scan again the following day, AVG detected the threat in the $Recicle.bin folder, which I could not find.

Again, clicking RESOLVE produced no results.

FYI, Malwarebytes did not find any problem in that PC.

What should I do now?

Thanx!
