Did AVG-TuneUp make a mistake going to subscription model?

Again… you're missing my point. There is NO TUU 2015. That comment was in response to the article you sent me to that said if I "want to use a newer version of TUU, I'd need to purchase a new license." But that's a stupid comment because there is no new copy of of TUU. TUU has been replaced by a subscription model. It's not a choice as the article states. It's a change in business model.

And back to my original point: I'm expressing disappointment with the new direction and wanted to indicate to the higher ups that they lost a customer.

I completely agree with Mr. Berglund.  None of the answers given by the "Gurus" are pertinent to the question he is asking.  I am also in the same boat.  Like him, I will switch to another product that is not based on a subscription model.

You're missing my point. I can no longer purchase a new license for an up to date version of TUU. I can only purchase the subscription based: AVG PC TuneUp.

I purchased several prior copies of TuneUp Utilities over the years. I loved having the regular maintenance done on my computers at home and at work. However, I am truly disappointed that they've gone to a subscription model.  What used to be affordable (I have a total of 3 home computers that I maintain and anotehr 3-4 at work, is no longer affordable. I will continue using the old TUU's until they no longer function and then I will say good bye to this software. Again… I know a number of companies are going to subscription models (Microsoft, Adobe, etc), but I think this is a mistake and they've definitely lost me as a customer.

Michael, Just for your info the latest version of TUU 2014 is compatible with Win 10. Have a look @ this AVG article (http://avgclick.me/W10compatibility).

Hello Michael,
The product 'Tune Up Utilities' has been discounted and the latest version available is 2014. You will be able to use the product till the license number is active. Could you please let us know if the license number of your product TUU is active?
Also please let us know the operating system of the device in which you wish to install your product. Thank you.
