Did I properly install Ultimate 2015?

I had the trial version of AVG on my desktop (and the free AVG on my new tablet).  I'm not doinng anything to the tablet until I have this under control.
I purchased Ultimate 2015 from an online retailer.
I tried to load it on the desktop.  Everything still said AVG Free.
I removed/uninstalled all programs related to AVG on the desktop and reloaded Ultimate 2015.
Everything still says Free.
Did I waste my money?  Did I actually purchase anything?  If I actually bought something, how do I load it?
