I'm thinking of upgrading my AVG account, as I'm prompted to every time I interact with the system (I get it, that's fine). My issue is that I'm given multiple conflicting options, which feels weird and a little predatory:

  • 60 days free, then $49.99 per year
  • Nothing free, $35.88 per year
  • 60 days free, then $39.99 per year (this is the best deal, right)?
Why the difference in what would appear to be the exact same service?!
