Difficulty With Installation

I just renewed my AVG Tune Up for another year by paying for it with my debit card.  Although I think I downloaded it and installed it properly it did not go smoothly.  At times, it would seem that the installation failed so I would make a second attempt and I would get a message saying another installation was already in progress.  So I would back off and wait for the installation to complete itself successfully.  When I attempted to use what I thought was a fully installed AVG Tune Up, it would tell me that it was expired and that I had to renew it.  I did this several times and it still tells me that my AVG needs renewing.  I'm going around in circles.  Could someone please help me out here?  Thank you.

We are sorry for the inconvenience.  This issue will occur if you have not acivate the program with the license number. Please follow the below steps to activate AVG PC Tuneup to fix the issue.
-Open AVG PC TuneUp.
-In the AVG PC TuneUp window, click Help and click Activate product.
-Insert your Product Key into the Product key field, and then click Next.
If you don't have the option to activate the license , then you might be installed a different AVG PC Tuneup program comes with AVG Zen interface which cannot be activate with the license. In that case, please go to control panel and uninstall the AVG PC Tuneup. Please click the link http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/AVG_PCTuneUp_765.exe to reinstall AVG PC Tuneup and Enter the license number to continue the installation.
