Hello Riaan,
Thank you for reaching us with your concerns. I have submitted a request to the concern department for the application whitelist. The issue will be fixed soon.
Regards,
Alok.
Good Day,
We're experiencing an issue while installing our desktop apps. AVG starts scanning the file and then a "ShellExecuteEx failed; code 299." appears. The error disappears automatically and AVG starts scanning the file again, this happens 3 times before the installation of our software continues.
We recently had to renewed our code signing certificate and since we started using it, we've been experiencing this issue. Is it possible to whitelist or digital signature?
Here's a virus analysis of our app: VirusTotal
Thanks!

Hi Alok,
Thanks so much for your response.
I've updated the virus definitions today and we're not getting the error messages anymore! However, AVG and Avast scans the installer exe after launching it as well as multiple temp files during the installation process. After the installation, when a user launches the app, it also scans 2 files (frontend app and backend shell). This delays the whole process and might cause our users to become annoyed by this behaviour.
There are two installers which I've submitted for white listing which doesn't trigger this behavior anymore but our other installers either gets blocked or analyzed.
We build custom installers for our clients and we can't afford to submit every single app and wait for it to get white listed before we release our apps. All of our installers uses the same digital signature. We've haven't had this issue with AVG / Avast before but it started since we've renewed our code signing certificate. The certificate is valid and other Anti Virus programs doesn't regard our apps as suspicious.
Kind Regards,
Riaan
