This wikiHow teaches you how to temporarily disable AVG AntiVirus features without removing the app from your PC. If you're using a Mac, there's no way to disable the app, but you can easily uninstall it and reinstall later.
I highlighted that last line, since I am stunned. If this IS the case, then why don't you make that clear in your list of support articles for Mac?? Do you know how much time I have wasted trying to find out how to disable AVG on my Mac, since I assumed this would have to be possible, since it is well known that software like this can negatively affect other software.
I don't care how "easily" I can uninstall. I am NOT going to be uninstalling/reinstalling this software, simply so I can use some other software for a few minutes, without conflicts with AVG!So, if I DO end up having to uninstall, in order to use other software, you can be sure I won't be reinstalling!
Of course, that means more work for me, since I will have to figure out what happens to funds already paid for my subscriptions. What a nightmare! But, of course, I never would have gone this far, had I known this software couldn't be disabled or would have to be uninstalled and reinstalled, all day, every day, obviously I never would have started using it and never would have paid anything for it!
