Hello Micaylah,
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. Since there are several AVG products available, you would get campaigns for each of them.
Yes. You can disable the AVG campaign popups and the prompt to make AVG Secure browser as default.
Open AVG Internet Security program, click on "Menu–>Settings–>General–>Personal Privacy".
You can see a check box with tick mark saying "Show offers for our other products".
Click on that box to disable the option and at the bottom click on Ok.
This will disable the AVG marketing popups appearing from AVG program.
Open AVG Secure browser and when you get the prompt to make it as a default, you can find an option as "Always Ask".
You can click on the check box available near it which will stop the prompt appearing.
Feel free to contact us if you need further help.
Hello,
I have used AVG services for years, both paid and free. I find that it's getting more and more invasive and bothersome. So I have 2 questions that I can't figure out.
1) Since I'm paying for services, is there a reason WHY I am still inundated with ads and pop-ups for other AVG services? Can I turn these off? Please tell me I can. as they're really REALLY annoying.
2) Is there a way I can disable the AVG browse instead of automatically going to it, telling me it's not my default browser and then tells me to make it so! I have made my choices and I most certainly don't appreciate it everytime I open my browser and have this annoying bit of flotsam hanging around. Please tell me I can do this as well.
These 2 things have become the make or break deal for me,
even after so many years of being with AVG!
Hi Priyanga,
Have sent a phot of the screen as answer to the 'advertising pop ups' topic.
I think the problem is in the link to My Account in Internet Security: by the side of 'my subscriptions' there is a '+ other options'. This link produces the screen in question.
Have gone into My Account from either VPN or PCTuneup and used the same link and this came up with a similar screen BUT this had a X in top RH corner with which to close the screen.
