I used defrag for the first time this week. It took 36 hours to defrag a 1.5 gig disk, and even according to AVG's own statistics, this has achieved virtually nothing. I won't be using it again !

I'm running Windows 8.1 with a 1GB hard drive. The computer is new (Lenovo IdeaCentre 730) so this isn't important at the moment. I'll just hide this function but I would like to sort this out for the future.

When I say "slow", I mean I left it running for two days and it wasn't half finished. It didn't freeze. I looked and it was supposed to take a few minutes, not a few days.
