Hi Folks, I have a new machine and the first thing I've done is downloaded, installed and run AVG free. It was fast and no problem. Then I downloaded and installed Office 2015/365, no problem. Fire it up this morning and it is constantly accessing my drive in a ka-chunking fashion similar to running some defrag on a fragged drive. AVG's not scanning or doing anything, other than being the top 150 - 200 total b/second disk activities while this is happening… CPU usage indicates it is AVG Resident Shield.

I suspend AVG for the default 10 minutes and ~viola~ ka-chunking stops and resources calm right down. Ten minutes run out, AVG is re-enabled and all these issues return. I'm willing to let this run if it is some sort of initial thing for AVG 2015 free, but none of the previous AVG frees on my previous computers did this.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.
