Hi Robert,
We appreciate your efforts in reinstalling your AVG programs.
When you purchase an AVG product in a retail store or from an AVG reseller, you'll be provided with a unique code and it's only for registration.
After the registration, you'll receive the actual activation code and it will be displayed under My Subscription.
We've sent you the subscription information to your email inbox.
If the email is not found in your inbox, please check in your spam and junk folder.
Hi Logeshwari
Thank you, Yes the code that you sent are an exact match to my installation.
I assume something got missed in the process, as I did not recieve any advice of the subscription code, except that it kept popping up, while I was working out that I had several defunct versions of old AVG, as well as some that were part of the most recent install before this new one, which did not get uninstalled.
Before I found out about AVG Clear and AVG Remove, I had already uninstalled the most recent old version via Win 10 uninstall, and installed the new AVG ULT, but obviously it did not clean it out very well.
After I scoured through my files one by one I found remnants of at least 3 old versions of AVG including Zen, and I found that AVG RE Starter( I think that's the right name) which had not been uninstalled and was designed to "repair" broken AVG components.
So each time I uninstalled, it would do it's job and Reinstall whatever I removed.
There were also isolated parts of previous versions spread across my entire drive, But in some circumstances the whole program was there but the .EXE file had been removed from it to stop it working(uninstalled).
So after researching on here and elsewhere, I found out about Clear and Remove, and here's some advise for anyone with the same problems, back up everything and then use Clear and Remove to remove all parts of old AVG programs, and then install again(for the last time).
So thanks again Logeshwari, much appreciated.
Regards Bob
Hi
Is the subscription code displayed under "my subscriptions" page within the installed AVG on my PC for all of my products, supposed to be the same code as the activation code that was entered while installing and activating those same products.
The reason I ask is because my AVG has different codes to those that were entered when activating.
I also suspect that the code that is now in AVG is the same code that I had on the last subscription of AVG which ran out 1 day before I installed the new unlimited version.
I did have some difficulty getting part of AVG to stay installed this time round esp AVG TuneUp which replaced AVG PC Tune Up from the previous install and eventually I had to use both AVG Clear and AVG Remove to completely remove all traces of the previous installation, after which I installed everything again and it is working well, except for the difference in activation and subscription codes.
I know that is working well, but the code difference bugs me, you know that feeling?
Any and all advice welcome, please.

Your suggestion is highly appreciated, Robert.
However, we'd like to clarify you regarding the code. We've introduced a new licensing system which is Wallet key (code provided to you via email).
Using a single key, you'll be able to activate all the AVG subscriptions that are available in your AVG account (excluding Driver Updater & AntiTrack).
If the wallet key is entered in your AVG program, then the available licenses (tied to your account) will be displayed. Thank you for your understanding in advance!
