My PC became infected with the Cryptolocker virus, very upset. I was running the AVG Virus Protect Free version. AVG did ask me about a file but I thought the email was ok and from a trusted source. Boy was I wrong.
Downloaded and bought the repair software mentioned by Barry.
It identified the virus and basically repaird the windows software but could not save any of the files on my drive. Lost everything…
Still Very upset that AVG may have picked it up but I let it through…

Does AVG Internet Security 2014 protect against Cryptolocker and other variants? I heard that some A/V products require an add-on.
