Does AVG Protect from DDoS as well?

My competitor knows my blog URL and trying to take over the website from me through DDoS attacks on the dedicated hosting I am using for running my website. My question to the community and AVG is, is there a solution from AVG that helps protect one from these kind of attacks as I am fed up of such crap and want a permanent solution. I tried changing hosting as well but that idiot keeps coming behind me.
