the short background - AVG ultimate internet security stopped working because of side-by-side config error. requested help. Ran AVGClear and AVGRemove a few times before the reinstall would even start, but it wouldn't finish and still says side-by-side error. Requested help again and they did a remote-access to fix it but only collected the log files for analysis. 24-48 hours to wait for evaluation by a "higher team". I saw the agent close the remote access window.
Today, after 24 hours or so I get some notifications that some apps were blocked, specifically
C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\AvEmUpdate.exe
C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\SetupInf.exe
C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\wsc_proxy.exe
C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\AvBugReport
and in the same minute, C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell
Is this just a normal update attempt run by some functioning part of the software
or is this some kind of remote access fix attempt? Shouldn't I have to explicitly
approve remote access each time?
