Doesn't accept password, windows7,cannot uninstall or repair

Hello Steven. 
Did you set a password to protect AVG settings from unauthorized access and the password does not get accepted? 
If it is the case, we need to remove the password protection. Please delete “aswResp.dat” file to regain access to password protected areas. 
 
Step 1: Restart the computer in Safe mode (https://bit.ly/37inRUF).
Step 2: The file is located at C:\Program Data\AVG\Antivirus\aswResp.dat 

Once removed, restart the PC to normal mode and the issue should be resolved.
