The reason I posted that was because I did not like the fact that AVG can just recheck itself in my msconfig and boot up into windows without my authorization to do so. So I posted that to let others know how to shut it down.
Posted before and they deleted my post. Anyways I do not like the fact that you cannot shut off avg in msconfig anymore. It rechecks itself and boots with your computer. So the way you shut it down once your computer has booted is to disable it until restart and then go into task manager and shut it down and then after 10-20 seconds it will disappear from your taskbar and be shutdown.
Hello Mark. I certainly understand that. For your information any antivirus program will startup automatically when Windows bootsup. This feature is necessary because when Windows logs on and if there is no antivirus protection for your PC then your computer will be highly at risk to get infected. This is the reason that antivirus program startup by default and starts running in the background. It gives you real time protection. So it is highly recommended to have antivirus program on system startup. Thank you.
Hello Mark. Sorry to hear that. Do you mean that AVG doesn't startup when you boot into Windows and it also doesn't work after booting into Windows? May I know which AVG program you have installed on your PC?

I certainly understand that Mark. What is the current version of AVG you have installed on your PC? Is it the Free AVG Antivirus?
