Downloading a free version of AVG

I have atempted to download a free version of AVG for Windows XP. I get this message: The installation of this AVG product is defective.  Please install the AVG product again ot correct the problem. Today I received error code 0xe001f632.  I know I am not the only one having this problem.  Can someone help?
