Please confirm the operating system installed in your device. 
Could you please confirm which AVG program are you unable to install it?
Please check the control panel whether it shows any AVG programs in the installed program list.

Hi there,

I am trying  to download AVG onto my new laptop and when I click download it asks to run but when I go to open the download it takes me straight to the AVG app which I have already downloaded onto my new laptop.  What am I doing wrong???
