Whenever I try to download a file or open a Pdf from companies such as my electricity company I am told it has a virus. I am therefore unable to see the cost of my fuel bill etc. Please help

Sorry, but I don't know how to do a screen shot as I am not very adept at using the internet, and all it's various tweeks. All I can see is a message saying that file has a virus and has been deleted. As you can appreciate I am not very happy when I am told to download items such as forms for the council, bills from my energy company and receipts when I buy my groceries. I did have AVG Anti-Track, but have now cancelled the subscription and uninstalled it, as that is when the problem started. Any help is gratefully accepted

As I know very little about how I sort out any problems I have regarding the internet, I'm afraid I have no idea how to do what you are asking me to do, all I really want is a very simple answer as to how I get round my problem of downloading my fuel bill,council bil and shopping bills without being told each time "YOUR" file has a virus and will be deleted.
