David,
Sorry to hear that you have been charged for AVG Secure VPN which is not required for you. It seems that you have tried its trial version earlier or you may selected this product while renewing AVG PC Tuneup. However, not to worry, I have escalated your request to our refund team. They have initiated the refund process for AVG Secure VPN and you will receive the confirmation email soon.
Hello again Alok,
After sending my latest query - see below, I found emails in my trash folder relating to the 'purchase' of AVG Secure VPN for a 2-year subscription dated 11 October 2017.
I can only assume that something was set in motion when I renewed my AVG Tune Up subscription for 1 year on the previous day, 10 October 2017.
However, my comments and requests below still apply, as I assume the money was taken automatically using the same credit card details as for my AVG Tune Up subscription.
I am obviously very confused and concerned that I have now purchased a 2 year subscription for something I did not want and was not aware of until I received my credit card statement.
I think it better if my subscriptions do not renew automatically and ask if you are able to arrange this or do I have to do this myself through my AVG My Account portal.
Kind regards,
Dave Thorpe

Hello Alok,
Many thanks for responding to my query on the AVG community site.
I am confused by your reference to AVG Secure VPN from Digital River. What is this? Before posting my query, I checked my current licenses with AVG, which confirmed my thoughts that I have only two licenses ie AVG Internet Security license which expires on 14.03.18 and AVG PC Tune Up which expires on 24.11.17 and which has recently been renewed.
I have checked comments on line referring to Digital River, many of which state money has been taken using their credit card details without their knowledge!
I am concerned this may have happened to me. The amount of £59.76 was taken on 11.10.18, the day after I arrived home from a 4 week visit to Canada. I may have been going through my emails and cleared one from AVG relating to this product, but I certainly had no intention of purchasing it as I consider the two products I already have are adequate for my purposes.
This would seem to be borne out by the absence of a product license.
My question is therefore:
Do Digital River have any connection with AVG, or are they a separate company selling products for AVG systems.
If the latter is the case, how do they get access to my credit card details?
If Digital River is part of AVG, I would ask for a full refund as I did not want this product but was not aware of this payment until I received my credit card statement.
Kind regards,
Dave Thorpe

Original question:
According to my recent credit card statement, I made a payment to "Dri AVG Technologies orderfind IE".
Unfortunately, I am not aware of having made this payment as my AVG renewal dates are in March and November each year.
Has anyone else had a similar problem or have I been the possible victim of fraud?

Hello David,
From your account, I see that you have recently purchased AVG Secure VPN from Digital river and also your AVG PC TuneUp has been renewed automatically. You have three active AVG subscriptions, AVG PC TuneUp (1 computer) expires on 2018.11.24, AVG Secure VPN expires on 2019.10.11 and AVG Internet Security expires on 2018.3.14. Feel free to contact us again if you need any further assistance.
Best regards,
Alok.
