Driver installation failed"

Hi
I'm having the exact same problem.  I have run the AVG_SysInfo.exe and saved the output.  How do I send this to AVG?  On saving the AVG_SysInfo tool closed before I could hit the 'send' option.
Cheers

Hi Chase,
I am happy to see that your issue is resolved.
Thanks for posting solution.

Thanks for the reply Alan, but I found these articles and did exactly this. When it didn't help removing the temporary files, I tried to remove and reinstall AVG. But AVG will not install due to driver installation failure. When I tried to help this, by using the Remover, it terminates.

Hi Brent,
In order to analyze it please provide us with already requested info in my previous post.
Thanks

I am having this exact same issue with the exact same results after reading the articles. When I click the link you give Zbynek, it tells me the Webpage is unavailable.

Hi,

AVG Internet Security 2014

I get the following error when trying to install: "Driver installation failed"
Error code: 0xC0070643.

I then start AVG Reset Access Tool and proceed to AVG Remover Tool, however the remover tool terminates and I can close the programme or search Windows for support.

AVG has been installed previously, however I removed it and tried to reinstall because I was continously prompted to reboot. Don't know if that's part of it, but now you have the full story.

Anyone got any ideas?

OK, I think I have this issue solved. Was having the same problem and for the life of my could not seem to get it to work. It wasnt until I was installing a different program and got a different error message. It turned out that the Base Filtering Engine (BFE) had been dissabled, and wouldn't allow certain programs to be installed. I found a repair download (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/MiniFixes/RestoreBFE.exe) on another website. the file address is http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/MiniFixes/RestoreBFE.exe

this allowed the other program to install. I thought I would give AVG a try again, and it worked.

Hope this helps

Having same issue.  Was prompted to restart constantly so I decided I would uninstall/reinstall to fix the issue and am now getting the "Driver Installation failed" error when attempting to reinstall. Also the Remover tool is freezing on my everytime I run it.  Anyone know how to fix this?

Hi Michael,
In order to analyze it please provide us with diagnostic output using this tool (http://http://www.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_SysInfo.exe) and please add detailed description of issue.
Thanks

Craig, The diagnostic output should be auto sent to AVG. If that fails you could resort to a 3rd party server such as dropbox. For typical info have a look thro' this link (https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b0000000D4ZvAAK).

Hi Craig,

Please run the tool once again - it should send the data automatically to the specialists. In case that the data can't be sent directly then they are uploaded to our FTP server and name of the file is displayed.

Let me know the results.

Thanks,
Jan
