Hi…my computer advised I have 19 driver to update so I have just purchased the AVG Driver updater for 12 months at $33.99. Upon dowloading the NVDIA Graphics Driver came and to download and half way through advises that this software is not compatible with mine (Windows XP). And before you advise to upgrade (which I realise is only a matter of time), I have pirated software concerning 'Indesign C3' (which my 'now ex husband' being a graphic designer unfortunately installed on this computer) and has designed all my business stationery and manuals for my workshops. All these files have taken me over 10 years of work and detrimental to my small business which I run soley from my home, and I would not be able to replace these myself, nor afford the proper software. Hope you can help!

I have no idea what Service Pack I have as this wasn't originally my computer and is around 15 years old. This info came up when I tried to update the drivers if this is any help…Mircrosoft Windows XP Professional (Intel R) Core ™ 2 Quad CPU 0844 @ 3.2 gb.

Yes I am aware that updating the AVG doesn't delete or harm files…I was referring to the upgrade to Windows 8 or 10 to allow for the drivers to be updated. Thank you and look forward to your reply and help.

You are welcome, Jacqui.

Thank you. I will request the refund.

Please see my original question. I am NOT enquiring about upgrading my PC. I am enquiring about the AVG software I downloaded a couple of days ago to upgrade the drivers as there as 18 needing upgrading. I paid $33.99 for the upgrade only to discover that moments later it advised me that it was not Windows XP compatible. This was not mentioned BEFORE I downloaded it.

Please advise me what I need to do and what I need to download to update the drivers, and if this is not possible, please can you refund the payment I sent you. I look forward to you solving this problem. Thaqnk you.

Looking at this again and clicking on to the AVG driver updater, as it comes up Microsoft Windows XP Profession Service Pack…I am assuming this will be Service Pack 1.

Hello Jacqueline.
Thank you for getting back to us. We would like to inform you that you can upgrade your Windows XP to newer version without wiping it completely. That means, unfortunately, you will lose all the programs and software installed on your Windows XP system.
