Thanks for the information! I'll take a look at the link you provided and consider running adwcleaner again with the exception!
I don't see it listed on my system.
While in Mozilla Firefox, new tabs open on their own with the site driverupdate.net showing. I have ran scans (finds nothing). AVG chat told me to change the site listed for the homepage and that would fix the issue, however, I'm still haveing the problem! (Windows 7)
Hello Kim, I'm not an "expert in Brno," just an experienced AVG user in USA. I did run adwcleaner several months ago while fighting an adware problem of my own. (Unfortunately AVG is not as effective against "potentially unwanted programs" as it is against viruses.) Adwcleaner did not ruin my PC, but it's a powerful tool and I cannot guarantee that it won't ruin yours. AVG gave an Identity Protection (i.e. behavioral) detection, but I chose the option other than "protect me" that created an exception for adwcleaner. One thing: adwcleaner removes the AVG toolbar, which some people (including me) regard as a PUP. However if you like the toolbar, rest assured that AVG will give you every opportunity to reinstall it. Ordinarily the first removal tool I would suggest is Malwarebytes Free. However I just googled "dealply removal" and found a post that said Malwarebytes was ineffective, so don't waste your time on it in this case. Good luck getting rid of that adware!
I downloaded and ran adwcleaner . It found dealply (although not listed under programs, and also, not listed as an extension/add-on on Firefox). After I clicked "clean", AVG shut it down. Should I try to do this again but let AVG allow it? Or is adwcleaner not a good thing? I'll wait to hear back before doing anything else.
I don't see it listed on my system.

I guess I have already looked it up now that I think about it, because I remember one part was to reset firefox and I did.
