The development of old AVG TuneUp has been discontinued a few years ago because of software updates, as all the software environment evolves. That is why the new version of AVG TuneUp that you can see now has been developed.
Duplicate finder was removed from this new version. However, the product is more stable and fully compatible with the latest operating system and programs.
Of course, we are still working on the product and new features are being added to it, also based on customer inquiries and comments. Therefore we appreciate your feedback.
Where has the duplicate file remover gone. I notice some comments saying AVG has received advice to remove it. This is a somewhat questionable response and seems like a corporate move to hive-off functionality into other purchasable products. I have used AVG for 12 years and find this despicable and have cancelled my subscription as it is these types of functionality I like AVG for.
