E-mail blocked by AVG

I'm sorry to hear about this, I request to change some AVG Firewall settings, open the AVG Internet Security installed in your computer and click on Menu->Settings->Components->Firewall->System Rules. Please enable all the system rules if they are not configured. Once this is done, in the firewall settings, please click on "Network Profile". If the network is selected as "Public", please change the profile to "Private". Click on save and check if your e-mails are working fine with enabled AVG protection.

Since a recent upgrade, my Outlook e-mails are blocked by AVG.  I can send but not receive except on various occasion, new emails get through.  The only sure way is to turn AVG protection off, then after receiving e-mails, turn AVG back on - not a good plan.  
Can you solve this issue?
