I apologize for the fact that you are still facing issue, Unfortunately,  AVG Personal Email Scanner can not scan messages encrypted with STARTTLS as of now. Thank you for your understanding.

Okay, after restarting my PC the port is now open, but it just times out. Does AVG not support STARTTLS?

Hi,

I'm trying to set up the e-mail scanner to scan encrypted e-mails as documented here, but it's not working.

If I run "telnet 127.0.0.1 5300" I get "Could not open connection to the host, on port 5300: Connect failed". This is for an IMAP server.

For SMTP, "telnet 127.0.0.1 5400" does seem to connect.

I'm using AVG AntiVirus FREE 2015.0.6125 on Windows 7.

Is this a bug?

Is this a planned feature? If so, do you have a rough idea as to when it might be available?
