E-mail Scanner not scanning

Hi Komal,
I am using AVG Free 2015 and my email client is ATT. As I indicated earlier the problem started with the latest AVG update (build 6122). This is the same problem everyone else is having after installing or updating to build 6122. Everything worked fine until then. My settings are per AVG instructions when using SSL communications. (http://www.ang.com/us-en/faq.num-4447 (http://www.ang.com/us-en/faq-print.sdoc-51.num-4447.tree_num-75)) Like everyone else I am waiting for AVG to put out an update that will fix the problem. Seems to be taking a long time!!! I have found other communications about this issue under the FAQ section. Also noticed today there is a thread in the Community section. Hope AVG can fix this soon.

I have tried disabling AVG per the above link. Cannot get or recieve emails with proxy 127.0.0.1. Had to reset my windows mail accounts to go directly to my ATT server. Then I can send and recieve emails but they are not scanned - no protection. (POP3: inbound.att.net; Port: 995; SSL checked; SMTP: outbound.att.net; Port: 465; SSL checked) The error message I get with AVG on is "Port 5300 - no SSL".  All this occured after updating to latest version of AVG Free (2015.0.6122). The virus database updated today (4401/10371). Link scanner version: 2709. I see no one else is having any luck solving this either!!
Any more suggestions???

Hi Jim, I will help you with your issue, may I know which AVG program have you installed in your computer and the email client you are using ? Due to recent change in our website previous cases will be difficult to find. Thank you

Haven't seen any update yet. Any idea when a fix will be forthcoming??? Why can't I find all the other comments / answers related to "e-mail scanner not working", I saw them before???
