Please accept my apologies with regards to the inconvenience this may have caused. Do you have any conflicting anti virus application installed on your PC or did you install windows updates recently? It could be possible that a conflict with Microsoft security updates may have caused this issue. I would request you to uninstall AVG completely and re install it to resolve the issue.
Click on this link for steps to download and run AVG Remover and Clear tools to remove AVG traces completely.
NOTE: Please run AVG Clear tool first and click on "Run anyway" if AVG Remover does not detect any AVG app.
Then refer to steps provided in this link on how to download and install AVG Internet Security - Unlimited.
AVG is showing red and says "Protection is disabled and, Protection will be automatically enabled after PC restart". This has not re-enabled it even after several restarts and even clicking on web and e-mail window not protected Icon and then clicking on slider button it only turns the Envelope green but the slider button stays red? What is going on with it.?
