We can certainly take a look into this. Could you share a screenshot of the AVG detection message with "see details" page to proceed further?
You can post the screenshot here on your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

I keep on having the e-mail shield alert popping window every 2 min on my screen, it is very very annoying 
how can i stop this from happening?

i have searched in the gmail account there is nothing apart form the mails I have explained and the issue continues

I have de activated the e-mail protection and I do not receive the e-mail 
I only receive the message from AVG when the mail protection is activated, that is the problem
maybe the AVG has a a bug ?

From the pop-up we see that this threat is caused by the email you received from "Stephen Cole".

Please delete this email from your "Mail" app and check if that fix the issue.

Maria,
We request you to disable AVG email shield, wait for the email. Once you received the email, please delete it and enable the AVG Protection.

I cannot delete this because it does not even appear in my mail box as it is stopped to come into the mailbox

I have also got a mail from Gmail in 2014 about itbut the name stephen Cole does nto appear in my mail
