Hello Bill. Thank you for your patience, and I apologize for the delayed response. My name is Shawn, and I am writing to you on behalf of the AVG senior support team.
I am not aware of a recent change, that email signatures are not stamped on incoming messages, as they are on outgoing messages. However, I can assure you, this is the intended behavior of the program.
Specific to your concern, of assurance that AVG is scanning your incoming messages, would be to ensure the email shield is active - specifically to scan inbound messages.
I trust this explanation helps clarify your concern. Regards, Shawn
Hi William,
We understand your concern.
Yes, we had the email signatures for both incoming and outgoing emails in the previous version.
However, in the latest version it is available only for the sent emails.

Thank you.
I recall that in previous versions of AVG, there was a functionality that allowed for the inclusion of a signature to all incoming and outgoing e mails that stated the e mail was scanned by avg. I notice that the signature functionality for incoming e mail doesn't seem to be available for activation from the e mail shield menu. Is this by design? How can I be certain that all of my incoming e mail is in fact being screened by avg.
The product that I'm currently using is AVG Internet Security
The link you ask me to go to is not useful. Who can answer the question I asked. Once again here is the question Are there any plans to reinstate the email scaned notification on incoming email functionality in future program updates?
Hello Bill. You are most welcome. I am happy to have helped.
Thank you for pointing out the contradiction between my colleagues comment, and my comment, of whether the feature was previously available. As I referenced, I am not aware of a recent change. That's not to say that it didn't exist previously.
Specific to your question, simply answered, no. The requested feature is not available in the present version of our software.
Nonetheless, your feedback is valued and appreciated, and I have shared your suggestion with our development team, for future product update consideration.
All the Best, Shawn

Ok thanks for the info. Without a notification on all incoming mail that it has been scaned for viruses, with what degree of certainty can I assume that all incoming mail is in fact being scanned. Are there any plans to reinstate that functionality in future program updates?

Shawn, thanks for the response but you didn't answer the question. Please let me restate. In the past AVG had a functionality that stamped both outgoing and incoming e mail. It wasn't that long ago that it was removed. My question is simply this. Does AVG have any plans to reinstate that functionality for all incoming e mails future versions. I found it a useful function. Here is a quote from a previous answer by a support person to this question
"Yes, we had the email signatures for both incoming and outgoing emails in the previous version.
However, in the latest version it is available only for the sent emails."
We'd like to clarify this with the next level of support, Bill. Hence, we're forwarding this ticket to them. You'll hear from us at the earliest.
Thank you for your understanding in advance!
