You will always get e-mail reminders early so that you have plenty of time to plan your renewal, at the same time if you do choose to renew early your renewal gets added so if as you stated your subscription expires in may when you renew your license will still be valid until next may, this does not change your renewal dates so you will not lose any of your remaining time.

I am concerned to receive an email renewal / 2015 upgrade invitation approx 9/10 weeks before my current AVG Licence expires, effectively a loss of some 33% of what I paid for it, should I be daft enough to buy.
It will be interesting to see what's on the table IF I renew at the expiry date in MAY.
