Hello Richard. Sorry to hear about the inconvenience caused. Since you have disabled AVG and still the issue persists, it could be the issue with the Windows Live Mail. The common reason for this to happen is when you are sending in RTF-format and the message doesn’t get properly converted to the HTML or Plain Text format. Messages with attachments sent using rich text format will attach the attachment as winmail.dat. WLMail cannot decode winmail.dat.
Messages using Windows Live Mail need to be sent using plain text.
I have AVG Premium Security and Windows Live Mail. Since installing AVG in January, emails sent from some computers (but not all) at my company come without attachments that should be there. The security settings in Live Mail have never been changed. I disabled email scan in AVG but that didn't help. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any help.
