Apologies. Have now done so. I only posted here, as the exact problem, however on a different mail platform.
Problem 1) I get a popup (from AVG) every time I access my email.
It states that the email certificate is using a security certificate that cannot be verified. The target name is incorrect. Do you wish to continue using this certificate?
I say 'yes'.
But nothing changes, next time I open email - same popup.
I have looked for an answer in here which stated 'export AVG certificate' etc. from 'Geek Area'. When Problem 2) Cannot find Geek Area'
I use the search bar within AVG, nothing happens. How else can I export the email shield certificate, which I understand will solve the problem.
Hope someone can help.
Brian

Hi guys
Unfortunately, the solution for thunderbird does not work for Outlook. I'm using Outlook 2019 (I think it is) and after having followed the steps in Rakshith's post, I still get the pop up. Really annoying.
Any other ideas for Outlook?
Thanks
Brian

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but it is relevant to me.
I have the exact same problem, since I reformated my SSD and reinstalled Windows, a couple of days ago.
Now, when I try and send from any of my POP3 accounts, that same pop-up box appears. I am using Outlook 2016. I simply say yes now, although I have viewed the certificate and installed it in my Personal store, in both ways: through geek:area (exporting it) and through the pop-up. My POP3 are configured to send via port 587 and STARTLS.
I am not getting any issue with my Exchange accounts.
However, the above KB is not for Outlook. So, does something need to be done AVG-wise to stop this pop-box from randomly appearing when sending from my POP3 accounts?
Kindly follow the steps mentioned in this article for troubleshooting, Brian
