Please clarify whether your friend use a free or paid version of AVG & also let us know the version of AVG that is installed on your friend's computer (Open AVG - Menu - About).

I’ve been following the instructions about adding an AVG certificate to Outlook 2016 for a friend of mine. When clicking on settings then choose, the dialog that appears shows no certificate available with the option to OK or cancel. At no point am I offered the chance to install the AVG der file exported from the geek:area of AVG. the Email Security section of Outlook is also blank no mime, no algorithms or encryption values shown.

I have followed the instructions but the Outlook dialog is blank and does not give options to select the AVG certifcate. The link to the support pages is currently down so cannot access the links above to double check.
