Rajendra, if you read above your post you will see that my issue is not fixed.
Hi Kishore. Thank you for the links. I did the upgrade, rebooted, verified I was running the upgraded version and checked to make sure that the pop & smtp settings were still set. I have received 3 emails since the upgrade and none of them show the certification. Outgoing messages are fine and are showing the certification. So, unfortunately, the upgrade did not fix the issue. Thanks!
Windows 10 with the Mail app that is included with it. The mail app is linked to my gmail account.
I have checked the box for "Certify incoming email". I found in the FAQS section the gmail settings for the servers. pop = Fixed host, pop.gmail.com port 995, local port 5100, secured to regular port. smtp = Fixed host, smtp.gmail.com, port 465, local port 5200, secured to regular port. Both pop & smtp are activated. Outgoing emails work perfectly with the certification showing. However, incoming emails do not show the certification text. Yesterday I did some reading about having the correct plugin installed. I checked and both the Microsoft Outlook scanner and the Personal Email Scanner. I did a change uninstalled and removed the Microsoft Outlook scanner since I'm not using it. So, I'm only using the Personal Email Scanner. That didn't help. Did a reboot, that didn't help. There is no "getting under the hood" to check port settings, etc with the new Mail app, like you can do with Outlook. You choose an account to connect the mail app to, set how frequent to sync and that's about it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Jim
Some added info…I was able to get under the hood and see the port settings. The incoming email is connecting to imap.gmail.com:993 So I setup an imap server in AVG. Got an incoming email but no certification trext on it.
