Initially, we'd like to clarify that AVG would not interfere with opening & deleting emails. It seems to be an issue with the email client.
Please let us know the operating system of the device in which you're experiencing the issue.
Also, let us know what happens exactly while accessing your emails. Do you receive any error message?

I use Thunderbird for email. After I installed the latest update, today June 23, I am having problems. I cannot delete old emails and now can't open new emails. What to do?
