Hi,
I had the same issue after deinstalling Firefox which was my default browser for a long time. My default browser is now Chrome.
My Problem was that some file extensions were still bound to Firefox.
Solution:
- open regedit
navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes"
- select ".html". In my case the value here was "FirefoxHTML". Change it to "htmlfile" for IE, "FirefoxHTML" for Firefox or "ChromeHTML" for Chrome.
- Repeat for .htm, .shtml, .xht und .xhtml.
Good Luck!
Hi all, I've found myself unable to open any links from emails when I have the AVG Secure Browser set as the default browser. (Using a Lenovo Yoga S730 with its default email app.)
I have tried changing the default browser to Chrome and Microsoft Edge and I can successfully open links when they are the default browser so I'm lead to believe the problem lies in the AVG Secure Browser or its settings.
Does anyone have an idea of what it might be?
Thank you
