Email links won't respond since update

Hello Rc,

We apologize for the inconvenience caused. We request you to temporarily disable AVG in your PC by Right-click the AVG icon in the system tray next to the clock and turning off the protection. If the email link woks, please follow the instructions below to repair AVG Protection and contact us for further help. Here are the instructions:

1. Go to Start -> Control Panel.
Note: Click Settings first if Control Panel is not available in the Start menu.
2. Open (Programs) -> Programs and Features, or Add or Remove Programs.
3. Select AVG Protection in the list of programs.
4. Click the Change or Change/Remove button.
5. Select Repair.
6. Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the installation.
7. Restart your computer.

I did an uninstall and clean install of AVG AntiVirus Free 17.4.3014 and since then I can't click-thru on email links.  I need to!  How/where do I fix this?

Thank you - it works again!  Caveat, however … you forgot to mention rebooting after disable AVG for the test you recommend in the paragraph.  The sequence should read:
"…temporarily disable AVG in your PC by Right-click the AVG icon in the system tray next to the clock and turning off the protection.

Reboot the computer and, after checking to make sure AVG is still disabled, try one (or more) of the links again. 

If the email link(s) work(s), please follow the instructions below to repair AVG Protection and…"
