Email over VPN not working

This isn't the experience we want you to have. We'd like to look into this & help you.
Initially, please clarify whether you're able to send/receive emails after disconnecting AVG Secure VPN.
For better clarity, share us the screenshot of the message that you receive.

I have followed the instructions after installing your VPN but my email still doesn't work. I'm using thunderbird and I've checked the port, mail server, connection security etc but still get the issue. The error I get is: 'Sending of username did not succeed. Mail server mail.btinternet.com responded: Access denied'. What can I do? If this problem persists then I'll have to uninstall the VPN and ask for my money back because I cannot use it.
