Unfortunately the procedure you recommended did not work the two times I tried it. The message constantly shows up even if I do not access my emails but am composing one. Any further suggestions?

This message has suddenly begun to appear when I use my email browser (Thunderbird). I have tried to follow the instructions set up by AVG but somehow it has not helped. Suspect that I have screwed up the server ports somewhat. Has anybody got a sure way of correcting this problem?
