Hello William. Please download the repair setup file based on your OS (32-bit or 64-bit) and run it on your PC to resolve your issue.

Win7/64, avg free 2015.0.6125, thunderbird 38.1.0

6122 program update killed thunderbird's connection to the email scanner, which had worked flawlessly for years.  6125 update has not corrected the problem.  There was a support topic on this that disappeared with the support system update this past weekend.  Please advise if anyone knows the solution to this problem.
