Download and run the file and make sure that your AVG program is already installed on your PC. You will get the option as "REPAIR" please select it and continue with the onscreen instructions and you won't be having any issues after this. Thank you.

imap server set to imap.gmail.com secure to regular port 993
local ports are listning
Setting the email client to bypass the AVG email servers works
I have upgraded a second PC from AVG 2014 to 2015.06.6125 to confirm that AVG is the issue, email was working prior to upgrade.
Is anybody else having this problem?
