Emails are blocked when VPN is turned on

  1. I have tried both available servers within Australia with the same resukt.
    2. I access my email via Outlook on my desktop PC and via Samsung email on my phone.
    3. I have Windows 10 and Office 365 on my PC and Knox 3.1 Version 6.1 Android Version 14 on my Samsung S23 Ultra mobile.
    4. I have just installed AVG Ultra on my phone and PC and have AVG Antivirus, Secure VPN and AVG Cleaner.

I have had the problem in regards to tje VPN for quite a while on my mobile and it took quite a bit of troubleshooting with my Telstra provider to work out it was the AVG VPN that was blocking my @bigpond.net.au emails only. It does not affect my gmail or hotmail accounts. I went to AVG Ultimate
after my Trend subscription fell due and I decided to give AVG a try as that is what I used on my mobile. Now AVG VPN affects the email account on my PC the same way as on my mobile.

Thank you for writing back to us, Errol.

We are sorry to know that provided troubleshooting step does not help you to resolve the issue with email. Please provide the following information to help you better :

1. Have you tried to change all the available server location in VPN and check it?
2. How do you access your email? Are you using any email client like Outlook (or) Windows mail etc?
3. Confirm the version of operating system installed?
4. What are all the AVG products currently installed in your device?

Keep us updated. Thank you.

All the settings are as outlined in the troubleshooting guide. Unfortuneatley it hasn't fixed the problem. The server is imap.telstra.com . I guess it just doesn't want to play nice with AVG. any other suggestions?
